Privacy policy

The short version

We do not store your photos. A photo you submit is held in server memory only while it is analyzed and is then discarded. We have no accounts, so we hold no profile about you.

Your photo

Before upload, your browser rotates and resizes the photo and re-encodes it as a JPG, which removes metadata such as GPS location and device details. The resized image (at most 4 MB) is sent over HTTPS to our server, which checks the file type, applies the daily limit and forwards the image to an AI model to produce your report.

We never write the photo to disk, a database, an object store or logs, and we never use it to train models. Our logs record only that an estimate ran, how long it took, what it cost and whether a face was found. The share card is drawn in your browser; downloading or sharing it sends nothing to us.

Service providers

These providers process data on our behalf to run the service:

• OpenRouter routes the image to the AI model that produces the estimate. The image is processed under OpenRouter's and the model provider's API terms; API requests are not used by them to train models under those terms, and we do not ask them to keep anything.
• Vercel hosts the website and runs the server code.
• Google Analytics measures page visits only if you allow analytics cookies; it never receives your photo or your results.

Other data

To enforce the daily limit, the server keeps a salted hash of your IP address in memory for the current day. It is never stored and disappears when the server instance restarts or the day ends. Standard request logs at our host may include IP addresses and are kept for a short period for security.

Cookies

We use no cookies for the estimator. If analytics is enabled, we ask before setting analytics cookies, and declining works the same as allowing. A language preference cookie may be set if you change the site language.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13. Do not upload photos of other people without their permission, and never photos of children who are not your own.

Your rights
